Hi CodeChix!
Here’s our current event listing for August 2012. There may be a couple more events available for this and next month. We’ll keep you posted!
— Hacking Session: Raspberry Pi —

Sat, Aug 18, 10a -12p
Location TBD, though will be in the South Bay Area

Join us to take a look at the Raspberry Pi – Open source hardware !
We are looking for a venue – stay tuned. Worst case, we’ll try to meet at someone’s house.
Inspired by Open Source hardware, we are going to take a look at all the components in the Raspberry Pi and explore ways to use it and build cool stuff! Read up on it before you come so you can get the most out of this hacking session. And if you have an Arduino and are doing something cool with it, please do bring it and show us your coolness!

In this seminar, software engineer Sharon Minsuk will draw on her experiences working on Kachingle’s browser extension to give an overview on writing your own browser extensions.
Lunch and Drinks Provided! Please make sure to sign up since we will be ordering food based on headcount.
Level: No knowledge of browser extensions needed. Should have some Javascript experience, but all levels encouraged to participate.
** CodeChix is raising funds to buy a projector and a video camera (total of $560), and have raised some funds for these items. These items will allow us to (1) host events more often and (2) record events to make available to others. Please help us by signing up, coming to our event and donating towards these items. We are greatly appreciative of your support and hope to continue bringing you great speakers and events from CodeChix.
Please come and support our speakers and CodeChix by registering now for these events!
May the code be with you!
